Izzy Salhani (they/them) is a Lebanese-American standup comic who cut their teeth in the Belly Room of the World Famous Comedy Store. Witty with a dark sense of humor, Izzy explores the nuance gender and sexuality, the perceptions of others versus their sense of self, and much more, with a biting delivery and intelligent punchlines. Currently based in Chicago, IL, Izzy teaches the craft of standup at The Second City Chicago, performs improv with SWIPED! Improvised Thievery at The Annoyance Theatre, and co-producer of Comedians That Are Gay at The Lincoln Lodge. Izzy is also the author of The Red Cedar, a noir style comic book based in Beirut, Lebanon, currently featured in Mutiny Magazine #1 published by Fairsquare Comics.
